SUSSEX PORTRAIT, PET & WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
As It Unfolds...
When it comes to your wedding day you will have the best day ever. It is true to say that you might have moments when a strange calm comes over you or you worry about something really silly. You might not even have time to eat, and all this happens when your being given so much attention! This is really part of what weddings are all about, and that's what I love. Capturing those unexpected moments, seeing granny cry, howling at your new brother in law's speech, smiling until your jaw aches and that moment when you realize you're now husband and wife, celebrating everything that is human.
Love doesn't always look the way you expect, but these special moments in time are what connects your wedding story and where my passion lies. I will work closely with you to give you photographs that can make you smile and you'll want to look at time after time.
If you think you'd like to meet me, then drop me a line or call to talk about your story. I look forward to hearing from you.
MY SHOOTING STYLE
Blending in is the name of the game! In reality, this may not always be easy, but this is how I like to approach each wedding. I absolutely love the social aspect of weddings. It's all about the people, how they interact and the atmosphere created. It's having this connection that brings your images alive. I've also found that guests like to be involved too, asking me questions about my camera like ‘which lens do you prefer’ or sometimes ‘you have a really long day don't you?’ and ‘I bet you can tell a few stories’. I love this! It is all part of the day, and important getting to know how everyone connects to your day.
I will work in the background but am equally happy to give you suggestions or direction for your time together as a couple and the bridal party session, it's up to you as to how involved you would like me to be.
ON THE DAY AND AFTERWARDS
I really don't envy brides getting married now, everything can be so time consuming, hour after hour searching over the net. I believe it's really important to keep things simple, you have enough to think about without getting stressed about your photography.
I recommend meeting up personally (where possible) so that we are sure we can spend a good deal of time in each others company. Then everything else happens via email or phone.
On your wedding morning I will arrive in plenty of time before the ceremony and capture your day in documentary style, only being involved with the couple's time together (and only if required). Whilst still keeping things natural, I am happy to step in with helping you know where to look or turn with a little direction.
Afterwards, you will receive a large collection of a mixture of creative, natural, fun loving images that reflect a reportage of your day with details highlighting close ups of your jewellery, to wide angles. Moments captured defining the spirit of your day that could be laughing or crying, to moments that you didn't even see. Your wedding will be different and unique.
It's important to stay realistic though, as the UK has unpredictable weather, but if there are amazing skies, or a gorgeous sunset, rest assured I will be there to make the most of it.
